The Mofro 'n Mo' Overture, originally written to accompany a full symphonic show with a soul/rock band, is a blend of popular and classical genres, while the Prelude to Again a Miracle shows a more traditional side of Johnson's works.

Each of Johnson's symphonies carries a nickname given to it by the composer, indicating the tone characteristics of the works. In this collection, we hear the Symphony No. 1 - "The Romantic", and the Symphony No. 2 - "The Dramatic".
