Mozart: String Quartet No. 2

Mozart's String Quartet No. 2 is the second of the Milan String Quartets, composed when Mozart was a young man visiting Italy. As with the first quartet, this work presents an early introduction to Mozart's style, which would develop much further as he explored the string quartet genre. Like many Italian works of the same time, this work consists of three movements, rather than the 4 movement form that later became the standard.
